Obituary for Thelma Reynolds Novakov
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thelma Reynolds Novakov, who departed this life on March 6, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on December 13, 1932, in Keavy, Kentucky, Thelma lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, deeply rooted in her love for family and nature.
Thelma was a dedicated data processing operator at AT&T, where she committed herself to her work with unwavering diligence. Her wisdom, kindness, and infectious spirit left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A lover of the outdoors, Thelma found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound appreciation for birds, cherishing a collection of ceramic birds that reflected her love for nature’s beauty. Traveling across the United States, Thelma delighted in exploring new places and experiences, forever embracing the wonders of the world.
She treasured moments spent with her family, often seen enjoying meals together and participating in lively family gatherings. The warmth of her laughter and her generous spirit created lasting memories for her beloved son, Mark Novakov, and her dear niece, Betty Howard.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Novakov, parents, Hiram and Maudie Reynolds, and her siblings, Roy Reynolds, Gene Reynolds, Gladys Nolte, Herman Reynolds, Bill Reynolds, Leland Reynolds, and Lela Charlton.
In honoring her life and the joy she brought to those around her, a viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 at 12:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE Line). A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231.

Thelma Reynolds Novakov will be laid to rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. She will be missed dearly but remembered forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
