A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with great love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Meyer, age 78, on December 31, 2025. Born on October 4, 1947, In Cincinnati, OH, where she remained throughout her years. Theresa filled those years with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Theresa is survived by her two children Christopher (Brigitta) Meyer, and Kimberly (Nicholas) Vetter, her grandchildren Mia, Meredith, & Luke Vetter, and Cameron & Bryson Meyer. Theresa is survived by her loving siblings Terrence Collins, Timothy (Launita) Collins, and Tracey Collins, and niece Robin (Eric) Spendel; preceded in death by her parents Edward and Myrtle Collins, and nephew TJ Collins.
Theresa spent the vast majority of her working career as an employee of Macy’s spanning 38 years as a Vendor Account Associate, where she made countless lifelong friendships. Her kind and loving nature showed through to her coworkers as she became affectionately known as “Mother Theresa” due to her helpfulness, willingness to assist others, and insightful wisdom she shared among them.
While Theresa cherished her working career, her biggest passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an exceptional grandparent to her family, attending as many school functions and sporting events as possible; she never missed an opportunity to be in the moment and present with her grandchildren. Her pride in being a grandmother was most cherished by her — she truly found her joy in their laughter and happiness.
Her home was always the heart of family gatherings, especially during the holidays when all were welcome to enjoy her warmth and generosity. Theresa enjoyed the company of many friends throughout her life, sharing her home and her heart with them. She had a spirit that radiated joy—whether she was dancing, spending time with family, or friends.
Though she has departed from us, her legacy of love, generosity, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, dear Theresa—you will be greatly missed, but your spirit will forever dance in our hearts.
Visitation for Theresa will take place at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park) on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 12:30 PM.
