Obituary via Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home

Troy M. Hensley, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, at the age of 86. He was the devoted husband to Sharon Hensley and a loving father to Debbie (Jim) Korcykoski, Tim Hensley, Shelly (Gary) Lytle, and Jimmy (Shirley) Cornetet. Troy was a proud and adoring grandfather to Tyler Korcykoski, Brianna Korcykoski, Selena Cornetet, Lauren and Richard Singleton, and Matt and Oriana Lytle. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Troy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, JoAnn Hensley, and his son Michael Hensley. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him.

Troy was known for his boundless optimism and an extraordinary capacity for kindness. He had a unique way of finding joy in every situation and saw the best in everyone he met. Whether you introduced him to a new friend or shared a new experience, Troy would greet it with unbridled enthusiasm and warmth, making everyone feel special.

A man of many talents and interests, Troy was always engaged in some new project, from rebuilding cars to working on his planes, and from working on his computer systems to fixing things around the house. His career as a maintenance supervisor at Sawbrook Steel Castings, where he was a valued employee for over 30 years, was a testament to his incredible work ethic and skill. Troy’s passion for his work was matched only by his love for his family.

As the family’s self-proclaimed documentarian, Troy had an innate talent for capturing precious moments. He tirelessly photographed every family gathering and went the extra mile to ensure everyone had copies of those cherished memories. His generous spirit extended beyond his family; he was always the first to offer help to anyone in need, and his infectious smile and witty sense of humor brightened the lives of all who knew him.

Troy’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and unshakeable optimism. He will be remembered fondly for his incredible ability to make everyone feel valued and appreciated. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 22, from 2pm-6pm at the Oasis Conference Center at 902 Loveland-Miamiville, Loveland, Ohio 45140, where a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor John Kirby presiding. Drinks and refreshments will be served.

Rest in peace, Troy. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
