Vernice A. Collins (nee Hiatt), beloved wife of the late Norbert Collins, daughter of the late Samuel & Vernice Hiatt, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was the dear mother of Karen Crum and Pamela (Michael) Richter-Minnick, and a loving grandmother to Kimberly Colen, Zachary, the late Nicholas Crum and Anthony (Lindsey) Minnick. Vernice was also the proud great-grandmother of Haylie, Hannah, Harper, Skyler, Wyatt, Cheyanne, Aubrey, Avery, Kennedy, and Daxton, as well as the great-great-grandmother of Car’Michael.

She was a devoted sister to the late Samuel “Daryl” (Jacqueline) Hiatt and sister-in-law to Thomas Collins and the late Floyd (Roma) Collins, Betty (James) Neeley, and Ronald Collins. Along with many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Vernice loved spending time with her family and enjoyed music and dancing! Her grandchildren absolutely loved seeing her dance!

A graveside service to honor Vernice’s life will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Mt. Healthy, on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.   Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati in her honor/name.
