“My son “Chilly Jordan”, I know that we didn’t always see eye to eye on things. But when we really looked at things, we had more in common than we realized. It saddens me that due to outside sources we were not able to say a proper goodbye. No worries my son! Somethings cannot be denied or removed. One of those things is that part of my DNA was in you because you were my son, and I was your mother. That cannot and will not ever change. I may not have said it enough but you were and still are loved. Understand, ” Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal”. I love you my boy!! Now you rest!”

“Virgil will be missed. By all of his family not just the Lackey side but the Hall side also. He was loved by both of his parents who are both alive and still living in Ohio. He will be missed by his whole family on both sides the Lackey side and the Hall side. RIP Chill.”

“Virgil the third will be truly missed. He has a very huge family. Especially on his mothers side. The Hall side. He is survived by both of his parents who are still alive in the state of Ohio. Both of his parents loved him deeply. Not just his father who is portraying that the Hall side doesn’t exist. But they do and they are remorseful and very respectful of his passing. RIP Chill.”

“Virgil or 3 as I affectionly called him is already missed. I would come around the corner on my way home from work and 3 would be out in the yard smiling and waving at me. I would stop the car and we would chit chat a while. He was such a gentleman. After seeing his garden flourishing; he came down and built me a garden box. I enjoyed seeing him dote on his baby girl Marley. 3 you are missed. May God grant peace to your family and loved ones. 3’s friend Mary Terrell”

“A great man with love and compassion for everyone. I watched this man go out and do what he does best, working with his students of all ages, pushing them to be the best they can be. He pushed my son to get up and not accept defeat. I value the time I knew Virgil and I’m proud to say he was my friend. God bless and if there are Judo matches in Heaven, I know you’ll be there pushing the next group of students!”

“Far and away one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure to know. The world is a much worse place now that he is gone. I hope we meet again”

“It seems surreal still. Those of us who were blessed enough to walk into the dojo with Chill, left a better person. Myself and my crew of children will never forget the bright light he left on our hearts.”

“We are all just so sad. As you can imagine, Michael (a.k.a. by Chill as a young Steven Seagal) has been very emotional. Our daughters were in disbelief when we told them. He will be dearly missed.
