A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
William “Billy” Edward Lohstroh (1/19/1993 – 1/17/2025) passed away suddenly on January 17th. He was a son, a brother, a father, and a dear friend to many. He will be so deeply missed by his parents, Hidee and Steve Lohstroh; grandmother Pat Shock; children, Jackson and Liam Lohstroh (Holly Hinderberger); sister Cori (Ryan) Dunaway; partner Jenna Hering and her three children Elizabeth, Robert, and Harper; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors. We all loved Billy’s kind heart, his generous spirit, and we adore his close childhood friends who have become second family.
He was driven by the desire to create. Most of his elementary school days, he went by the name of Elvis. He dressed the part, fixed his hair like Elvis, and was ALWAYS playing his guitar and singing. For years, his teachers actually called him Elvis. There were times, though, when he’d feel the need to be Batman or Zorro.
He loved working on cars and rebuilding engines. He enjoyed woodworking projects and was an avid reader.
Billy’s passion was playing guitar, and treasured his circle of musician friends and open jam friends, who took him under their wings, embraced him, and taught him so much more than music.
Billy had endless wit and loved shenanigans. He was never too proud to be the butt of a good joke, and never too busy to drop what he’s doing to help someone in need. We will deeply miss that mischievous twinkle in his eye.
The family is choosing to mourn in private but will be planning a memorial celebration this spring.

“In elementary school I was introduced to a kid who thought he was my grandma’s favorite singer, Elvis Presley! He told me his real name is Billy but if I wanted I could call him Elvis lol. Although I did not call him after the King, over many many years I would call him my brother. I will always remember the memories we had, whether sitting around the fire, playing pool in the basement or having my face shoved in cake because I was gullible enough to believe the balloons smelled like cherries! Whatever we were doing it was always a good time and because of Billy, Heidi, Steve and Cori I was made to feel like part of the family! Love and prayers to you guys! Zachary Powell”

“Billy was always a special guy from the time he was very small. He just seemed to be happy most of the time. I always loved to visit with him . I wasn’t around him very much as he got older as I lived a long ways away. But every time I was lucky enough to see him we always had fun visiting. I loved his smile. He was a special person who was loved by many, including me, his little auntie. He will be missed. There will be no more hurting for him now. Bill will be at peace.”
