Obituary via Brater Winter Funeral Home

William E. Loring, a beloved father and dedicated worker, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on September 28, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to William and Marguerite F. “Sis” (Hitefield) Loring. William was a lifelong resident of the area, having built a life in Harrison, Ohio, where he raised his family and pursued his many passions.

A proud graduate of Taylor High School, William honed his work ethic from a young age and went on to spend 32 years at Cincinnati Bell. He also received his associates degree in IT from UC.His colleagues will remember him not just for his skills on the job, but for his dependable nature and the warmth he brought to the workplace. In retirement he enjoyed woodworking and remodeling the house and took great pride in all of his work.

Outside of work, William embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved to swim, loved the joys of camping, and had an unmistakable fondness for rock and roll music. Sundays would often find him cheering on his favorite football team, and he had a special place in his heart for Christmas villages, car racing, and car shows. His favorite summer activities were going to Summerfair, WEBN Fireworks and hosting get togethers with family and friends.

Above all, William was a loving father to his daughter, Leslie Loring, and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Peyton Plowman. His family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent with them. William is also survived by his siblings, Greg Loring and Linda Paulus, nieces and nephews, and ex-wife and friend Sandra Loring.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Brater Winter Funeral Home – Harrison from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 pm.
