In loving memory of William Howard Schehr, affectionately known to friends and family as Bill, we gather to honor a remarkable life. Born on September 14, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill was the cherished son of William Howard Schehr Sr. and Shirley Schehr. He peacefully departed from this world on March 27, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving a legacy filled with love, laughter, and fond memories.
Bill was a devoted life partner to Sharon Wasserman, and he was surrounded by a family that adored him. He is survived by his dear brothers, Jim (Terri) Schehr, and John (Judy) Schehr, as well as his beloved sister, Connie Schehr McNanie. He was not only a loving brother but also a treasured uncle to Amy (Andy), Jody (Sarah), Lisa, Sarah, Chloe, and Jim, and a proud great-uncle to Ava and Addison. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, Bill had an extraordinary gift for brightening the days of those around him. He was also recognized for his unique habit of carrying hot sauce, always ready to spice up a meal or a moment. As a dedicated car salesman at Ford for over 30 years, he brought the same enthusiasm and warmth to his work, where he forged lasting relationships with his customers and colleagues.
Outside of work, Bill found solace and happiness in the outdoors. Where he had a profound appreciation for nature, often seen sitting quietly outside, relishing the tranquility around him. His passion for collecting rocks, fossils, and paleo stones was a reflection of his love for nature. An avid fisherman, his enthusiasm for fishing brought him countless hours of peace at Indian Lake and Hamilton Lake, where the gentle waves of the water mirrored the calmness he embodied. Bill was also a fan of his local teams, passionately cheering for the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds, sharing his joy and love for the game with family and friends.
To celebrate Bill’s remarkable life, a visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM allowing all who loved him to gather and honor his memory. As we reflect on Bill’s life, we find comfort in the love and laughter he shared, knowing that his spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, may he rest in peace.
