William Roth Jr.

William Paul Roth Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 81. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 20, 1942, William led a life filled with a passion for sports, a deep dedication to his family, and a strong work ethic that defined him.

William, known for his love of sports, was a true sports enthusiast, avidly supporting his favorite teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds. He actively participated in various sports such as basketball, softball, golf, and bowling during his tenure at CG&E Co. Additionally, he shared his passion for golf and bowling in mixed couples leagues. Beyond his love for sports, William found joy in exploring hiking trails in the United States, England, Ireland, and Switzerland, immersing himself in the beauty of nature.

Throughout his working life, William dedicated himself to his career at CG&E Co., where he served as a Field Supervisor for nearly four decades. He also worked part-time for 17 years at Milan Golf Course, showcasing his diverse skills and commitment to excellence in all aspects of his life. In his earlier years, William proudly provided for his family by juggling three jobs, demonstrating his unwavering determination and dedication to those he loved.

A man of faith, William was a member of the St. Paul Community of Faith Church since 1967.

Reflecting on his life, William leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his family. He is survived by his loving spouse Marilyn Roth, his son Michael Roth, daughter Sheri (Randy) Solar, his grandchildren Troy and Tori Solar, as well as his sisters, Mary (Ken) Sandel and Carol Roth, and his brother Robert (Tina) Roth, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Roth Sr. and Mary Roth, and sister, Shirley Roth.

A memorial service in honor of William will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:30am at the St. Paul Community of Faith Church, 5312 Old Blue Rock Road, Cincinnati, OH 45247.
