A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Mr. William Theodore Rembold, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Bill was born in Brownsville, PA, to loving parents, William and Kathryn (nee Bittner) Rembold Sr.
He later graduated from Meyersdale High School and went on to receive his degree in Engineering from Penn State. He was then employed by Procter and Gamble as a design engineer until his retirement in 1992. During his tenure at P&G, Bill was responsible for many patented machinery designs that greatly improved production speed and efficiency. He was also an honorable member of the United States Air Force Reserves for six years.
Along with his love of family and his great sense of humor, Bill enjoyed many other interests – sports, carpentry, mathematical puzzles, and he even designed an elaborate chariot for his massive self-propelled lawn mower to enable him to ride, not walk behind it!
He also loved singing and for many years, Bill was an integral part of the popular Delta Kings Chorus where he shared his joy of music with many.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Rembold, daughter Sheri (Timothy) Glazier-Bessler, sister, Kathryn (Patrick) (nee Rembold) Delaney, grandsons, Jody David (Erin) Volz, Brandon Scott (Victoria) Volz, great-grandson’s, Daniel David Volz and Alexander Sterling Volz, and many extended relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Scott Kendall Rembold.
