Shelley Lynne Hess

Shelley Lynn Hess, born on February 7, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on October 24, 2025, in Blue Ash, OH. She was a dedicated Administrative Services Manager at UC Health Medical Center, where her passion for helping others shone through in her everyday work. Shelley will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but also for her vibrant spirit, her warmth, and the countless friendships she nurtured from her childhood and beyond.

Her life was enriched by the companionship of her beloved pets-two cats and a dog-who were always by her side, providing comfort and joy. Shelley’s laughter and kindness created a welcoming environment for all who knew her. She is survived by her cherished son, Joshua Hampton, and her devoted mother, Joyce Mercer.

Shelley was preceded in death by her father, James Mercer, and her brother, Dale Mercer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE line). A memorial service will follow at 1:30pm. Inurnment will take place at 2:30pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens.


As we remember Shelley, we are reminded of her unwavering enthusiasm for life, her dedication to her work and loved ones, and her ability to brighten the lives of those around her. Though she has left us too soon, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing her.
