Patrick J. Thacker, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born to the late Catherine (nee Kelly) and Raymond Thacker on March 16, 1944. Pat was the beloved companion of Rose Naber for 25 years; loving father of Tim Thacker (Roxanne), Carolann Pruitt (Jamie), Michael Thacker, and Trisha Wilson (Rod); cherished grandfather of Brittanee Thacker, Emilee Thacker, Allie Pruitt (Tanner), Andrew Pruitt, Gracie Metz and Julia Metz; dear great-grandfather of Archer; treasured brother of Kathleen Snodgrass (nee Thacker); and loved uncle of John Snodgrass (Ashlee) and Kimberly Gockenbach (Adam). He is also survived by three great nieces and friends.
Pat was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, carrying a strong sense of duty throughout his life. Professionally, he spent hours on the road as a delivery truck driver and eventually enjoying a well-deserved retirement from Northside Meats. Pat was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan, even working as an usher at the ballpark. He loved the thrill of motor racing at tracks like the Kentucky Speedway and found happiness and peace hiking alongside Rose. Pat will be missed tremendously, but the cherished memories he created with those around him will be remembered forever. Visitation in his honor will take place Friday, July 24th from 9:30am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Ann Church Groesbeck, 2900 W Galbraith Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45239. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org). Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family during this time.
