Michelle Blatnik

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michelle Blatnik, born on April 2, 1976, who left this world on July 30, 2024. Michelle, a beloved wife to her husband Scott Blatnik and a devoted mother to her daughter Katie Blatnik, was a remarkable individual whose presence touched the lives of many.

Michelle, born in Cincinnati, Ohio was a highly educated and accomplished civil engineer at Kleingers and then a program manager in the aerospace industry at GE Aerospace. She worked tirelessly at both. Her passion for organization, numbers, and financial acumen were unmatched, as she was known for her ability to save money through wise financial planning and couponing.

A lover of sports, Michelle was a dedicated fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and her enthusiasm for sports extended to various activities, including scrapbooking, crocheting, and playing games like escape rooms and word jumbles. Her vibrant social nature and warm persona made her a cherished friend to many, always ready to organize events and bring people together.

Michelle embraced life with an open mind and a kind heart, always seeing the best in others and treating everyone she met with respect and kindness. Michelle’s compassion and empathy were demonstrated by personally visiting others to help and support them in their time of need. Her creativity, ingenuity, and generosity shone through in her efforts to crochet hats for cancer patients and create sleeping mats for the homeless from plastic grocery bags.

Michelle’s passion for music, particularly 80s tunes such as Footloose and pop hits, was shared with her husband Scott, whom she married on September 15, 2001.  Christmas was a special time with Michelle, who transformed their home into a winter wonderland filled with holiday cheer.

Throughout her battle with cancer, Michelle proved to be a fighter, never giving up and remaining strong for her family. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and the intimate moments she shared with her daughter Katie, were cherished deeply through talks, theatre visits, and education activities.

The funeral services to celebrate Michelle’s life will be held at the Arlington Memorial Gardens inside the Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10:30 am.

Michelle Blatnik will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her warmth, love, generosity, and unwavering strength.
