Betty Jo Collins, beloved wife of the late Charles Collins Jr., peacefully passed away at Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash on November 6, 2024, at the age of 90. Betty, dear mother of Deborah (Jack) Howell and Charles “Chuck” (Pamela) Collins, III.
Loving grandmother of John (Wendy) Howell, Laura (Steven) Scherra, Marissa (Ricardo) Crusoe and Charles “Charlie” Collins. Loving great grandmother of Alex, Autumn, Justin, Maxwell, Jake, Drew, and Grace. Loving great great grandmother of Silas and Macklen. Loving sister of Shirley Buccino
Throughout her life, Betty found joy in many simple pleasures that brought happiness to those around her. She hosted fun family picnics, many holiday gatherings and just truly loved spending time with her family.
Betty liked watching the Reds and Bengals games and also enjoyed watching old movies.
She had a talent for baking and delighted her loved ones with her delicious pound cakes and apple pies using apples from her own tree. In her younger years, she liked bowling and spending time in her garden, growing a variety of flowers and strawberries, which she loved to share with her grandchildren.
Betty loved traveling with her husband, they had some great trips together.
She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, whether it was a lively game of Poker or a friendly round of Rummy, she also liked bingo and the casino as well.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Margaret Rich and her brother Donald Rich.
Join us in celebrating Betty’s life and the joy she brought to those around her on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m., with a graveside service immediately following in the Garden of Restoration.
In honor of Betty’s memory, her family invites you to come together and share fond memories of her life, celebrate her spirit, and bid her a heartfelt farewell as she is laid to rest. May she forever be remembered for her love of family and the joyful moments she shared with those she held dear.
