Albert Joseph Klee

Albert Joseph Klee

Dr. Albert Klee, age 94, passed away on August 12, 2023. Albert was born in New York, NY to Albricht Klee and Elizabeth Klee.

Albert Klee held five university degrees including degrees in Engineering, Business, and Mathematics. After his discharge from the US Army, Albert entered in private industry, eventually serving in the research branch of the USEPA, retiring after a long career.  Albert also served as an adjunct Professor at Xavier University, and was an accomplished Ichthyologist. He was a founding member of the American Killifish Association and published multiple books and articles in the field of Ichthyology. As a photographer, he developed his own photos, and even taught a course about photography.  Albert was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Albert married Harriet Klee on February 27, 1954, in New York, New York. Albert is survived by wife, Harriet Klee, son, Kermit (Peggy) Klee, daughter, Alison Klee, Daughter-in-law, Debbie Klee, Brother-in-law, Warren Connelly, grandson, Michael Klee, granddaughter, Kristina Klee, grandson, Jason Klee, granddaughter, Amanda Klee, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents Albricht Klee and Elizabeth Klee, brother, Harvey Klee, and son, Eric Klee.

A Memorial will be held August 17, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Arlington Memorial Garden Lakeside Mausoleum, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Take left at entrance and follow red line to mausoleum). Burial to follow at a later date.

Albert contributed to several charities including the Salvation Army, American Heart Association Alzheimer’s Association, and the American Cancer Society; Donations in his honor can be made to any of these organizations.
