Obituary for Alfred Guisseppe Deganis
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alfred Guisseppe Deganis, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Alfred was born on January 25, 1934, in France and peacefully departed this life on January 27, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 91.
Alfred’s legacy is woven through the lives of his children- Robert Deganis, Linda Zoz, and Diane Cundy, who he was a caring father to. He was grandfather to Colton and Sienna Zoz. Alfred is also survived by nieces, Mary (Dan) Gilson and Lisa (David) Imhoff, who will also carry his memory in their hearts.
Alfred worked tirelessly as a machinist at General Electric, where his dedication and craftsmanship earned him the respect of his colleagues. Beyond his professional life, he had a heart full of affection for animals, often found reveling in the company of his neighbors’ dogs and any creatures he encountered. His penchant for shopping for bargains and acquiring items he didn’t necessarily need often brought a playful charm to his character, illustrating his unique ability to find joy in the simple things of life.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Rinaldo and Gemma Deganis, brother, Aldo Deganis, and nephew, Daniel Deganis.
