Allen T, also known as “Pete” Hampton, a proud Cincinnati native, who called Price Hill, Amelia and Colerain Township his homes, passed away on June 1, 2024. Born April 9, 1939, Pete had a deep love for his family and was known for his strong bond with his sister Lavada McKenna, along with cousins Herb & Sandra Woosley and Jean Inman. He will also be remembered by his Cousins Scott Woosley, Jay Woosley, Robin Hammann, Dana Schratt, Bob Riehs and Nieces, Dorothy, Cathy, Mary Jean, Bonnie, Melody and Sharon and Nephews, Jeffery, Joe Allen, Sam, Timothy, Michael, Brian and Mark (deceased).

Pete had a close-knit group of friends and helpers, including Beverly Mechley, Cousin Herb, Don Daken & Ron Ross who stood by him through thick and thin. Pete’s warm personality and love for his extended family left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Dorothy Hampton and his loving wife, Rita Hampton (nee Meeker).

Known for his love of hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and jokes from his cousin Herb. Pete also enjoyed good food, especially seafood.

He spent many years working in the dairy industry, with Kroger being his employer. Throughout his life, Pete was happily married to his wife Rita, and shared a passion for their beloved dog.

In the spirit of celebrating his life, funeral services and ceremonies to honor Pete will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Rd, 45231 at 1:30 PM (follow the blue line upon entering memorial park). Burial to follow in the Garden of Restoration.

Pete will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched with his kindness and friendship. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

“My husband,Randall and myself met Pete and Rita in July 1976. We were neighbors for 37 years. Randall and Pete had a very good relationship. They would tell jokes to each other. Pete taught my husband how to care for our lawn. We had the best lawns o Pippin Rd. Randall passed June 2nd last year, and Rita in August last year and now Pete June 1st this year. Pete you will be missed. Thank you to your friend Beverly who took care of you and Rita, and Don for being there for him also. I love you and Rita. Till I see you again some day. RIP Emna”


“Pete is my husband Robert’s cousin and they were very close them growing up in Cincinnati as boys and growing up to Be Great men..Then you add in cousin Herb and then you have the 3 stooges.You know you were going to be laughing when those 3 were together.Even though we live in Texas we tried to get back for visits as much as we could.Pete will be so missed and I’m going to miss his smile and his laugh.Love you Pete..Rest in Peace..Raette and Bob..❤”

“We will miss Pete so much. He was a delight to be around and had a great sense of humor. Dean had known Pete for over 50 years as they both worked for Kroger , Springdale dairy. He was a valued member of our retired Kroger group which met once a month at various restaurants, around town, for dinner.”
