A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
William Gilmore Adams Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and teacher, passed away on July 15, 2024. He was born on December 31, 1942, in Cincinnati, OH. After serving in the United States Army, Bill dedicated his life to educating young minds in driver’s education and physical and health education at Cincinnati Public Schools. An active member of his community, he also coached baseball and girls’ basketball, embodying a true passion for teaching and mentoring both inside and outside the classroom.
With a penchant for adventure, Bill explored various interests, from motocross racing to golfing, demonstrating a zest for life that inspired those around him. His love for Volkswagens and his admiration for the Cincinnati Reds brought him great joy, alongside his ventures to the River Downs racetrack and even owned a racehorse named B.D. Legs. Bill’s industrious spirit shone through his various occupations, from selling cars to working as a limo driver and providing security at Kings Island.
An individual with a contagious laughter and a youthful outlook on life, William touched the hearts of many with his humor and warmth. He cherished moments spent with his family – his devoted wife Diane Adams, daughters Amy (Joseph) Morganroth and Leeann (Chris) Wright, and grandchildren Joey Morganroth, Payton Morganroth, Ashlee Wright, and Christopher Wright.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William Adams Sr. and Lucy (nee Petrocelli) Adams, and sisters, Marylou Vitucci, and Delores Parman.
