Blair Wolfarth Schwartz (1927-2025)

Blair W. Schwartz “Pop,” 98 of 929 Springbrook Drive, Cincinnati, died on Nov. 8, 2025. Blair was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Sharpsburg, Pa. A Navy Veteran of World War II, Blair also served five years in the Active Army Reserve. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned an engineering degree, Blair worked 35 years for General Electric, retiring in 1988. He wed his wife Rose Nov. 24, 1955, and is preceded in death by her and daughter Susan Harder.

He is survived by his children Blair R. Schwartz and wife Renee, Elizabeth Zimmermann and husband John, Annie Wachtfeitl and husband Edward, grandchildren; Stacie Gryga, Blair and Brian Schwartz, Nicole Taylor, Malia and Conner Zimmermann and his wife Kristina, Daniel Harder, Brandon Wachtfeitl and great-grandchildren Jonny and Ava Iacovelli.

Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, Nov. 26 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park), with a Christian wake service to follow, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. conducted by Elder Jane Whalen, where Blair will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife Rose.

A memorial luncheon will be held at Pebble Creek Golf Course, Restaurant & Event Center, 9799 Prechtel Road, 45252, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
