Carl H. Christophel

august 18, 1951 – august 18, 2024

Carl H. Christophel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Henry Christophel, a beloved husband, brother, and father, who peacefully departed on his 73rd birthday, August 18, 2024, in West Chester, Ohio. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Carl shared 49 joyous years of marriage with his devoted wife, Deborah Christophel.

Carl was a dedicated HVAC technician for BME, where he poured his passion and dedication into his work. A proud Army veteran, Carl was known for his unwavering commitment to his country and his job. While stationed in Germany, he met one of his closest friends Tom and his wife Rita. They traveled together from time to time. They remained friends until Tom’s departure in 2022. He traversed life’s waters with a spirit of adventure, owning a boat on which he and Deborah created cherished memories, often spending time on the waters during earlier years.

During his years residing in Pleasant Run Farms, Carl experienced the joys of fatherhood, raising his sons with the love and care that defined his life. Summers in Michigan were a special time for the Christophel family, especially along the St. Mary’s River where they enjoyed quality time with family and friends. Carl treasured his vacations in Florida, particularly in St. Petersburg during winter breaks, creating unforgettable memories with his sons.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Janet Christophel, his sister, Cookie, and his sons Kyle Christophel and Jason Christophel.

An avid lover of family and good food, Carl had a deep appreciation for simple pleasures, relishing meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, and Ford Hook Lima beans. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his wife, Deborah, his brother Gary Christophel, his grandsons, Cody, Cole and Brody and his granddaughter, Kaylee and all who knew and loved him.

As we celebrate Carl’s life, funeral services and ceremonies will take place at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 on Friday, August 23, 2024. A visitation at 5:00 PM. A funeral service at 7:00 PM. The graveside service will take place on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Let us come together in love and remembrance as we bid farewell to the man who touched the lives of many.
