Charlotte Grote, age 96, passed away on March 30, 2025. She was born to Arthur and Mary (nee Faske) Case and was raised in Mt. Healthy, Ohio. Charlotte was a loving wife to Edward S. Grote for 63 years until his passing, and a devoted mother to Edward A. (Aileen) Grote, Connie (Dan) Marsh, Daryl (Barbara) Grote, and the late David Howard Grote. She was a proud grandmother to Brad (the late Kelly), Stephanie, Casey, Crystal, Kyle, Keith, and Holly, and was preceded in death by her grandson, Edward “Butchie” A. Grote Jr. Charlotte was also a cherished great-grandmother to Zack, Jase, Cooper, Connor, Chase, Carter, Emma, Camden, and Sammy. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Charlotte’s love for her family and her generosity were evident in all aspects of her life. She had a passion for cooking and baking, which she shared with those around her. From a young age, Charlotte worked at Wullenweber’s in Mt. Healthy, starting at 16 years old. She worked alongside her brother, Don, for an incredible 40 years.

In retirement, Charlotte and Edward moved to Florida, where they spent 30 years together, enjoying the sunshine and creating lasting memories. Charlotte enjoyed playing cards, working crosswords and had a passion for dogs. and had a warm and kind spirit that made her friends and family feel loved.

Charlotte was preceded in death by all 12 of her siblings, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A burial of Charlotte’s ashes will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 10 a.m in the garden of Everlasting Life. If you wish to attend please meet at Neidhard Young Funeral Home by 9:45am and we will go in procession together. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, the Parkinson’s Foundation, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
