Christopher Heller, age 45, passed peacefully on July 9, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 9, 1978 to Thomas Heller and Kathy Vines.
Chris is survived by his son, Ethan Heller; brothers, Craig Heller and Erik (Aimee) Heller; niece, Ellie Heller; girlfriend, Jessica McCarty and her daughter Alyssa McCarty; and a host of other family members and friends.
Chris was a landscaper the majority of his life. Hard working. At one point, he owned his own business which he was very proud of. He was obsessed with perfectly striped lawns and if it wasn’t perfect, he’d tell you. He had a green thumb and loved growing plants (some illegal). He was an avid fisherman and caught mostly small fish, according to his little brother. Chris enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He was a lover of all kinds of music like Frank Zappa and JJ Grey. Chris was a funny lighthearted guy who could make everyone laugh. Lover of memes and perpetually banned from Facebook. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A small ceremony and the spreading of ashes will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens on Friday, July, 26 th at 11:30 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at Vinces in Mt. Healthy following the service.

“Dear Jessica and Alyssa… my heart aches for both of you and Chris’s family and endless friends. He was a great guy. He expressed his affection for the two of you as we chatted many times, he on the front stoop and me on my balcony. Also he truly was the best grasscutter we’ve ever had here and he was proud of that title. He also did a great job with the snow removal also. To be honest we have missed his services here. It always looked so nice when he was done. If you should ever need me I’m just a walk away but being my legs condition a phone call will have to do. Also I am sorry I will not be able to attend the graveside service on the 26th due also to my legs. All our love… Bobbie and Aaron”
