Danny S. Oliver, 72, of Anderson Township, OH, was born on October 20, 1951 to the late William and Ruth Oliver. Danny battled with cancer and with the assistance of a great medical team, fought the battle with the utmost courage and bravery. Danny passed away on November 28, 2023, surrounded by his family, peacefully at Anderson Hospice Care.

  During his 72 years, Danny was an avid traveler. He and his wife would travel anywhere and everywhere. Some of his most notable adventures were exploring all over Central America, South America, Hawaii, and Easter Island. When Danny was not traveling, he enjoyed his yearly passes to the Cincinnati Zoo to see his favorite animal, the hippos. Danny enjoyed being able to watch Fiona, the beloved Cincinnati hippo, grow up. In addition to being an avid traveler, Danny had quite the green thumb. Danny was able to grow any type of plant from a simple seed to a giant, healthy plant. Danny’s loving memory will be cherished with the sweet memories of his giant heart, kindness, and fun-loving personality.

  In addition to Danny’s parents, Danny is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Oliver. Danny is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Yvonne. Danny married Yvonne on December 23, 1989 and cherished 33 wonderful and precious years together. Danny is survived by his daughter, Emily (Nate) Scroggins and son, Eric Oliver. Danny was the loving pawpaw of Charles Scroggins. He is also survived by his sisters Gwen Thomas and Lisa Barnhart.

  The family would like to thank the Ohio State Cancer Center for all of the hard work and care that went into Danny’s care. The family would also like to thank Anderson Hospice Care for the compassion and guidance that they provided.

  Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231, starting at 10am. His Funeral Service will begin at 11am, with burial following the service at Arlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O.
