Dennis “Denny” P. McCloskey

Dennis “Denny” Paul McCloskey, born on April 28, 1946, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. A devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Denny lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a love for the simple things that brought him joy.

Denny had a fulfilling career as a machinist in the aircraft industry, where he worked for Barnes Aerospace. He was known for his tenacity and skill, always approaching his tasks with a precision that mirrored his relationship with life.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Denny found immense joy in working on cars, fishing in tranquil waters on his boat, and tending to projects around his home. Denny loved spending time with his late wife Donna. These activities were not merely hobbies for him; they were expressions of his character-often characterized by diligence and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.

Denny is survived by his beloved children Dawn Breeden, Daniel “Danny” (Shelley) McCloskey, Shannon Carey, and Michael (Vera) Heverin. He took immense pride in his family, including 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with whom he shared countless treasured moments. Denny also leaves behind his dear sister, Cheryl (Frank) Kammerer, who will forever carry his memory in her heart.

Denny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna McCloskey, parents, Paul McCloskey and Eleanor (nee Hammond) McCloskey, daughter, Teresa Carpenter, and sister, Janice Deye.

“To Dawn Breeden and your family, and Danny & Shelley McCloskey, and your family. Your father was a good man and well liked. When he came to the reunions he always wanted a hug from me and I gave him the biggest hug I could. It was always him, Janice, and Cheryl that always came to them. I do remember Danny and Shelley coming with them too. he will be sadly missed for sure from us. He is finally at peace. You are in our prayers.”
