Derrick John Maxwell

Mr. Derrick Maxwell, age 50, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025.

Derrick was born in Cincinnati, OH to Barry and Kathy Maxwell. Derrick enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.

Derrick is survived by his parents, Barry and Kathy Maxwell; sisters, Tina Maxwell, Virginia Rumsey, and Laura Maxwell; nieces and nephews, Eris (Kaylee) Rumsey, Trenton Rumsey, and Coehn Boothe.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mildred Maxwell, and Howard and Virginia Walters, as well as uncle Larry Walters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, when the services will begin at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231. Once on the grounds of the memorial park, follow the blue line to the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in honor of Derrick can be made to Sunman Rural Fire Department, 621 N. Meridian Street, Sunman, IN 47041.
