A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Diana Luise Laws, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on August 22, 1946, in Germany, Diana brought joy and love to those around her throughout her vibrant life.
Diana dedicated her professional life to the dental industry, serving as a Dental Office Manager for Dr. Nondorff, where her commitment to patient care was evident. But beyond her career, her true passion lay in her family and the arts. She was a proud mother to her son Tony (Denise Rosenblatt) Laws and daughter Theresa Williams, and cherished the moments spent with her seven grandchildren: Evan Laws, Brianna Luna, Kaylene Blackburn, Brittany Williams, Alex Williams, Caitlyn Adams, as well as her beloved great-grandchild, Luna Meeks.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, George and Roswitha Chase (nee Beier), her husband, George Laws, her brother, Elliot Chase and sister Sylvia Chase.
After Diana married, she and Bruce moved to Algeria, where both of her children were born. It was a totally different lifestyle for her. She had a housekeeper by the name of Halima who taught her how to go to market, pick very fresh meats and vegetables and how to prepare it all for meals. Halima also helped with the children when they were young.
Music was a significant part of Diana’s life, and she made lasting memories singing in church and high school choirs. She loved being involved in her church choir in Houston, where her passion for music truly shone, and she held a special place in her heart for theater. One of her proudest moments was playing the lead role of Yum-Yum in her high school production of “The Mikado.” Diana also played the clarinet. Her love for the arts was matched only by her enjoyment of dining out at fine restaurants, always eager to try new and flavored foods.
Diana’s independent spirit and strong will were evident in everything she did. When she had an agenda, her focus was unwavering. She also enjoyed reading, especially in her younger years, finding solace and adventure within the pages of her favorite books.
Diana is survived by her son Tony Laws and daughter Terrie Williams, her loving sister Barbara Paul and brother Kevin Chase, as well as her expansive and devoted family who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Diana’s life will take place with services at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line upon entering the memorial park).
