Donna Rae Medlock (nee Harrell) age 92 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday morning, May 11, 2024. Beloved mother of Ed (Joy) Medlock of Galena, OH. Loving grandmother of Kate (Braden Ripley) and Jenny Creutzinger. Dear daughter of the late Richard “Don” and Alberta Rohlf Harrell. Devoted sister of the late William D. Harrell and the late Betty Claire Reeves. She is also loved and survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great, and great great nieces, and nephews. Donna was retired as Vice President of Finance for Bricktec, Co. She was a devoted and much-loved charter member of Northern Hills United Methodist Church, where she served as Organist and Choir Director for 55 years. She had a generous philanthropic heart and was proud to start the “Weekend Backpack Program” at Northern Hills United Methodist Church, which fed the youth of the community who experiences food insecurity. Donna was an excellent cook and baker and loved to entertain family and friends in her home. Often, her recipes were sought after when she shared her talent in bake sales and pot luck dinners. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority (Indianapolis) and loved attending countless seasons of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and the May Festival.
Visitation will be held at Northern Hills United Methodist Church, 6700 Winton Road, (45224) in Finneytown on Thursday, May 16 from 3-5 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Northern Hills United Methodist Church for a music scholarship fund in Donna’s name or for the Weekend Backpack Program.
