In the loving memory of Eddie R. McFarland, a devoted husband, father, very proud grandpa, and veteran of the US Army. Born on April 25, 1957, in Cincinnati, OH, Eddie passed away on March 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Eddie met the love of his life Carol Ann in the early 1980s while playing frisbee with his close friends in their hometown. This encounter blossomed into a beautiful marriage that lasted 43 years, resulting in a precious daughter named Michelle Faith in 1982. Together, they shared simple but cherished moments, such as their beloved “Bundy” vacations spent watching movies at home.

A skilled electrician working in the utility industry. He worked 24 years at Owens Illinois and retired after working 14 years for American Foods. Eddie had a passion for adventure, often taking his daughter Michelle on exhilarating Harley motorcycle rides. He attempted to build a helicopter, displaying an unwavering determination and creativity, earning him the endearing nickname “MacGyver” within his family.

Family barbecues were a favorite pastime for Eddie, who prided himself as the ultimate charcoal grill master. He delighted in preparing steaks for his loved ones and hockey pucks for his beloved wife. In his free time, he found joy in riding his lawnmower and loved taking his grandchildren on trips to the US Air Force Museum, sharing his enthusiasm for aircraft and history.

He is survived by his beloved daughter Michelle (Mark), and his adoring grandchildren Leo and Lily.

Memorial services will be held in honor of Eddie McFarland, Monday, April 1, 2024 at 1:30 pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, 45231. A niche side service will immediately follow.

Eddie’s legacy of love, creativity, and devotion will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, embraced by the eternal grace of his memories.
