A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Eugene Creech, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on July 1, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gene was a lifelong resident of Greater Cincinnati Area. He dedicated over 30 years of his life as an accomplished electrician at General Electric, proudly serving his community and taking great joy in his work.
A proud veteran of the National Guard, Gene was a man of many passions. He cherished his 71-year marriage to his beloved wife, Nancy, whom he met at the age of 19 at Sefferino’s skating rink. Together, they built a loving family that includes their son, Michael Creech, and granddaughter, Kelly Creech as well as great-grandchildren, who will miss him dearly: Jaelynn, Grayson, Zazie, and Kaya.
Gene never met a stranger. He had a unique collection of angels and enjoyed tinkering with radios, guns, and knives. Hunting deer was one of his cherished pastimes. Gene savored the simple pleasures in life, relishing beans, potatoes, cornbread, biscuits and gravy, steak, and of course, his favorite desserts, pumpkin pie, and all types of sweets. Family vacations to places like the Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and even adventures in Missouri, New York, and Washington, D.C., were filled with laughter and love, creating memories that will be treasured forever. No meal was complete without a trip to his favorite restaurant, Frisch’s Big Boy.
Gene will be remembered by family and friends as they gather to celebrate his life during a series of services at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Visitation at 12:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 1:30 pm, leading to a crypt side service where he will be laid to rest at 2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honor Gene’s memory consider sharing a fond memory or supporting a local charity that reflects his spirit of kindness and generosity. As we say goodbye to a remarkable man, we take comfort in knowing that Gene’s love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Delores Creech, and his siblings, Larry Creech, Gladys Barton, Louie Creech, and Billy Creech.

“Uncle Gene gave me more insight into who I am than I ever thought I would know. I am so grateful for his kindness, stories, and conversations about the past. It meant more to me than anyone could imagine. Fly with the angels Uncle Gene. Prayers for peace and comfort to Nancy, Kelly, Michael, and all of the family.”
