Evelyn Naughlebaugh Claunch

Evelyn leigh Naughlebaugh Claunch, 90, of Sarasota Florida passed away peacefully sitting in her favorite chair next to her beloved husband of 71 years on October 23, 2023, at her home.

Evelyn was born in Cincinnati Ohio to Dennis and Caroline Naughlebaugh on March 22, 1933. She went to high school at Woodward and graduated in 1951.

After raising four children she went back to school and earned a degree in nursing from Jewish hospital. She worked at Drake Hospital before retiring in 1990 when she moved to Sarasota with her husband Ron. She enjoyed golfing and won two women’s club championships and two women’s senior club championships at Beckett cc in West Chester, Ohio.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Ronald of Sarasota, her daughter Linda Holterhoff (chip), her son Ronald Jr. of Cincinnati, her daughter-in-law Julie, and her brother ralph Naughlbaugh of Northern Kentucky. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Nauglebaugh, her sister Jean Dillman, her daughter Robin Stark and son Mitchell Claunch, who died only a few weeks earlier.

Memorial services will be held jointly for mother and son at a later date.
