Flora Mae Kates, at the age of 73, went home to be with the lord on December 13th, 2024.
Born October 23, 1951, in Richmond Kentucky, to Barsha (Turner) and James Mullins, Flora grew up in Jackson County, Kentucky until the age of 13 when she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio.

There Flora met and married the love of her life, Earl Wayne Kates, on August 25th, 1973. There love grew stronger through the years as they faced life’s many challenges and celebrated its many blessings together with the grace of God until the Lord call Wayne home in February of 2022.

From this holy union Flora was blessed with two children.
Her eldest, her precious son, Hershel Dewayne Kates, married to Karen Sue.
And her daughter, Karen Lynn Kates Butler.
