A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hilda M. Lazarus on March 27, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Hilda was born on November 6, 1931, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Hilda, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was married for an incredible 64 years to her high school sweetheart, lovingly known as “My Bobby.” Together, they created a warm and welcoming home where family gatherings were a cherished tradition. Hilda was the life of every Thanksgiving and Christmas celebration, bringing joy and unity to all who gathered around her table.
A proud jewelry clerk at McAlpin’s for 15 years, Hilda had a knack for making every customer feel special, just as she made everyone in her life feel adored. She had an eye for beauty—not just in her work but also in her treasured doll collection.
Hilda was a passionate sports fan, sharing delightful Friday nights with Bobby watching high school football or cheering as she watched her beloved Cincinnati Bengals. Football was more than a pastime; it was a way to connect with family, friends, and the community.
She is survived by her four sons, Gary (Jill), Scott (Shirley), Keith (Susan), and David Lazarus; as well as her grandchildren Todd (Beth), Robert (Holly), Shaun (Alina), Katie, Holly, Mandy (Chris), Cody, Nick (Caley), and Ryan. Hilda also took great pride in being a loving great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, whom she adored.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Theresa Sand and her beloved husband, Robert Lazarus.
A procession will begin on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:45 AM, leading to a heartfelt graveside service at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM in the Garden of Roses.
As we celebrate Hilda’s remarkable life, we invite friends and family to join us in honoring her memory, her love for family, and the joy she brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
