A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
It is with heavy hearts that we celebrate the life of Howard “Jack” Lancaster. Born on January 29, 1936, in Dayton, KY, Jack passed away on June 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
A lover of music, from the Eagles to the Rat Pack and The Beatles, Jack’s passion for good tunes resonated throughout his life. His enthusiasm for gardening and professional photography, spanning 32 years, brought beauty and joy to all those around him. A dedicated family man, Jack cherished spending time with his wife, Jeannine, their children Dana (Richard), Guy, Rock (Linda), Lara (Kevin) and Todd, his grandchildren Staci (Ken), Sherri (Jerry), Jack, Jennifer (Chris), Christopher (Taylor), Brooke, Neil, Paige (Rebecca), Josh, Zach (Jenna), Courtney (Ben), Chelsea, Maeve, and Willem, his 20 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He never missed a beat, attending every football game that his sons played, every dance recital his daughters preformed in, creating flower arrangements with Dana, and listening to his favorite songs of the Beatles with Lara and sons-in-law. Jack was committed to showing up for those he loved, often traveling out of state to never miss a performance, softball game, swim meet or spend time with those he loved. Jack was known for his dedication to his work and was a familiar face at car shows, movies, and Cincinnati Reds games. His creative spirit and hard work shone through in his photography business, Lancaster Photography, where he and Jeannine captured countless cherished memories for their clients.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Goldia, his uncle Frank, his brother Bill (Betty), and his children, David and Lara. Funeral services and ceremonies will be held in honor of Howard “Jack” Lancaster at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 on Monday, July 1, 2024. Visitation: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Service: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Celebrating a life well-lived and the everlasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.
Jack’s legacy will live on through the memories shared by all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed but remembered fondly for his warmth, creativity, and dedication to his family and passions. Rest in peace, Jack.
