In loving memory of James “Jim” Green, who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on May 13, 1957, and peacefully passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 68. Jim was the cherished son of the late James Green Sr. and Patricia Green. His carefree spirit, infectious humor, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jim will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 25 years, Jody Green. Their life together was a joyful journey, filled with laughter and shared memories that blossomed from their first encounter at a bowling alley, a place that would come to symbolize their shared love and passion. He is also remembered fondly as a dear brother-in-law to Greg Bernhardt, Randy Bernhardt, and the late Lisa (Dan) Gilton. He was a devoted uncle to Brian Bernhardt, Brandon (Sarah) Bernhardt, Becky Bernhardt, Missy (Shane) Harris, Christopher Gilton, Tori Gilton, and Dakota Gilton. Jim’s love extended beyond family to his close-knit bowling community and his adored dog, Chloe, who brought him endless joy.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Jim exemplified dedication not only through his service but also in his career in sales for Crown Lift Trucks. Outside of his professional endeavors, Jim found his passion in bowling, often spending six nights a week at the bowling alley. A dedicated fan of Cincinnati’s teams, Jim’s loyalty shone through in his support for the Bengals, Reds, and Notre Dame. He will be lovingly remembered for his great sense of humor, easygoing nature, and the warmth he brought into the lives of everyone around him. In honor of Jim’s life, a visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located 2553 Banning Road, on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 9:00 AMuntil time of service at 11:00 AM. The family invites all who knew Jim to come and celebrate his extraordinary life and the love he shared with everyone around him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the SPCA at 11900 Conrey Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249, honoring Jim’s compassion and love for dogs. Jim’s spirit will continue to live on through the memories and stories that will be lovingly shared for years to come.
