Janet Diane Matracia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet Diane Matracia, age 74, on September 9, 2026.

Janet was born on May 2, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Donald and Mary Frazier. A longtime resident of Covington, Kentucky, Janet was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend who brought warmth and light to the lives of everyone she met. She dedicated much of her life to her family and her work, spending many years in customer service at Citi Bank.

Family was the center of Janet’s world, and she took immense pride in her children, Amanda Williams and Anthony Matracia, and her cherished grandchildren, Ryann, KaLeigh, Payton, and Noah. She was a true matriarch who created a loving home filled with laughter, good food, and unforgettable family gatherings. She found joy in cooking her famous dishes and tending to her garden, always finding ways to make those around her feel loved and cared for.

Janet also had a passion for painting and photography, and she often shared her artwork with those who cared for her during some of life’s most difficult moments. In her younger years, she was an enthusiastic volleyball player, a love of the sport that she passed down to her daughter and granddaughters. Through volleyball, she helped create lasting memories and bonds that will continue through generations.

Janet was known for her strong personality and, at times, her stubbornness, but those who knew her best also knew her incredible generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. She had a way of making people feel welcome and loved, and her vibrant spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary Frazier, and her sister, Sharon Frazier.

She leaves behind her children, Amanda Williams and Anthony Matracia; her grandchildren, Ryann, KaLeigh, Payton, and Noah; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Janet’s remarkable life on Monday, September 14, 2026. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 PM in the Garden of Meditation.

As we say goodbye to Janet, let us remember her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the many ways she enriched the lives of those around her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the legacy she leaves behind will continue to live on through her family and all who knew and loved her.
