Jerry Phillip Hayes, a beloved member of the Cincinnati community, passed away on September 19, 2023, at the age of 87. He was born on February 21, 1936, to Cladys and Lula Hayes (nee Hickman), in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Jerry is reunited in heaven with his loving wife Patricia Ann Hayes (Jacobs), his parents Cladys and Lula Hayes, his siblings Pat Adams (Buddy), Shirley Welsch, and Bob Hayes, who preceded him in death.
Jerry is survived by his sister Linda Vonderhaar (Tom), Sister-in-Law Linda Hayes (Bob), and by his children, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jerry graduated from Reading High School in 1954 and went on to join the United States Air Force for active duty from 1958-1962. Jerry went on to have a successful career at Avon Products (Springdale, OH) and then later as a landscaper at Sharon Woods Golf Course.
Outside of his professional life, Jerry had a deep love for playing golf and supporting the Green Bay Packers. He and his wife Patricia spent their retirement years between the Cincinnati, OH area near Jerry’s extended family and the San Diego, CA area where they were able to spend several years close to his wife Patricia’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Thursday October 26, 2023, at 2:00PM at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, located at 2145 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the First Tee of Greater Cincinnati or the American Heart Association in Jerry’s memory.
Jerry Phillip Hayes will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
