Joe Willie Johnson

Joe Willie Johnson departed this earthly life for eternal rest on November 7, 2024. Born October 26, 1942 in Charleston, MS to the late Joe Sam and Jennie Lue Johnson. As a young boy, Joe was baptized at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Allen Carver High School. He also served as a member of the Charleston Day Club Cincinnati Chapter.

Joe worked for the Railroad and General Motors. He was a dependable friend who would always be there for you whenever needed.

Joe found his passion later in life opening up his own business selling hardware tools. He earned a reputation with small business owners by providing the best hardware tools at the flea market. He will truly be missed.

Joe leaves to cherish his memory; partner, Audrey Mills, sons; Ralph Johnson of Dayton, OH and Joe Johnson Jr. of Sacramento, CA, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sister, Bernice Johnson of Charleston, MS, brothers, James (Janice) Johnson of Charleston, MS, and Gene (Virgie) Johnson of Minter City, MS. He also leaves behind aunts, Laverne Harper, and Iola Jordan, uncles, Leonard (Flora) Sayles, and extended family, Latonya Mills, Allen Mills, Justin Underwood, and Dexter Gable, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Anna Mae Johnson, siblings, Tyrone Johnson, Rosie Johnson, and Aaron Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE Line). A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at 1:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
