Joy dedicated her career as a Plant Manager in the hair care industry at Tressa Incorporated, where her kindness and supportive nature made a lasting impression on her colleagues. From her younger years, she loved visiting family in Florida and taking delightful vacations to Gatlinburg and Columbus to spend time with her son. She shared many joyful moments with her friends and family, enjoying meals out and catching up on life while staying active in her bowling league for many years.
A devoted and proud grandmother, Joy adored spending time with her grandchildren: She never missed an opportunity to attend their activities, celebrating every holiday together as a special time of family bonding and love. Joy was married to her beloved husband, Thomas, for 51 wonderful years before his passing, and their love story continues to inspire everyone who knew them.
Joy is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Mike) Joyce; sons, Thomas (Amy) Land and Jason (Heather) Land; grandchildren, Addison, Alexander, Mary-Elizabeth, Thomas, Joseph, James, and Jonathan and her siblings: sisters Sandra Clark, Millie (Garry) Greene, Kim Griffith, Barb (Steve) Davis, and brothers Owen and Rick (Dodie) Stockton. She also leaves to cherish her sister-in-law, Geraldine Carlton, and her brothers-in-law, Bucky Land and Lew Knecht.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Mildred Stockton, her beloved husband, Thomas Land, her brother, Steven Stockton, and her sister Georgia Knecht.
A Memorial Service will be held for Joy on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by an Inurnment at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, 45231.
