Joyce Katherine Anderson

Joyce Katherine Anderson, age 93, beloved wife of the late Norman “Andy” Anderson.  Married 52 years. Loving mother of Carol Murrison (Dean) and Susan Hamer (Mike).  Devoted grandmother of Amanda Birck (Brad), Michael Murrison (Liza), Rachel Bonomini (Dino) and Nick Hamer (Kari MacKinnon).  Great grandmother to Lucy, Charlie, James, Maxwell, Teddy, Lenora, and her baby sister on the way!

Preceded in death by her parents Gertrude Fallet (nee Hollis) and Earl Roeder, Sr., loving sister Doris Steinnecker (Robert) and brother John Roeder.

Survived by loving brother Earl Roeder, Jr. (Betty Jean).  Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Joyce had a gift of being kind, caring, sweet, and funny.  She loved nothing more than spending time with her friends and family – particularly the “babies”.  She attended countless grandkids’ sporting events, enjoyed playing cards with the family during the holidays, swimming and playing ‘paddle ball’ in her backyard, and playing pranks on April Fool’s Day!  An occasional margarita or red wine complimented her silly personality nicely.  The matriarch of a loving and close extended family, she would often greet you with a “toots” or “kiddo” and a big hug.  She was a great listener – so long as you spoke into her “good ear”!

Joyce “Joy” passed away peacefully on March 21, 2023.  Visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231 (follow the blue line to the left upon entering).  Services to follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark E. Roeder officiating.  Burial at noon in the Garden of Everlasting Life.
