Obituary for Lois Augusta Daiker
Lois Augusta Daiker, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on November 24, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that touched everyone she encountered.
Lois was a devoted and active member of the Monfort Heights United Methodist Church, where her spirit of generosity and compassion was evident in all she did. She was involved with the prayer chain, bible study classes, and Sunday school to name some of her contributions. A longtime employee of Hamilton County Park Services at Farbach-Werner Nature Preserve, she showed a deep appreciation for nature, conveying her love for the outdoors to all she encountered. Her maternal nature defined her character; she was always more concerned about the well-being of others before herself, selflessly giving her time and energy to those in need. Lois was also a very inquisitive person, always interested in her family and friends endeavors. Lois’s generosity extended beyond her immediate circle, as she and her husband supported many charities, leaving a lasting impact on many.
She is survived by her cherished son, David (Jen) Daiker, daughters Barb (Andrean Lynch) Daiker and Beth (Shelton) Plamondon, and her beloved grandchildren: Kyle, Dan, Liese, Allecia, Samantha, Alex, and Emily, along with three great-grandchildren. Her sister, Christine Cornelius, and brothers-in-law, Ken (Lan) Daiker and Roger (Mary) Daiker, along with her nieces and nephews, Jeff Daiker, Kera Everett, Andrew Daiker, Kylie Allensworth and Abbey Cornelius who will also remember her fondly.
Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Daiker, parents, Frederick and Tabea Anger, sisters, Elisabeth Anger and Margaret Anger, as well as brother-in-laws Jerry Daiker and Frank Cornelius.

“I was fortunate to work with Lois for many years at Nature’s Niche at Farbach Werner Nature Preserve. I never met a more kind and generous person. In later years we were able to occasionly get together for lunch. I will always have happy memories of her. God rest her soul.”

“I am sorry I couldn’t make the funeral service. I was able to watch the service online. Beautiful service to honor your mom. Your mom, no matter the amount of time passed, would always make it a point to find me at your house and ask me how I was doing, how Christy was doing and how the kids were doing. Her kind, caring demeanor was evident every time our paths crossed. I am sorry for your families lost. Jim (Christy and the boys)”

“My deepest sympathy to all the family for your loss of Lois. She was a sweet, dear and caring lady. She was kind enough to give me plants out of her yard for my yard and garden and I always think of her each time I water those plants. I am sad that I am unable to attend her service due to a prior commitment. May she rest in peace in the hands of the Lord.”
