MARGRAVE, Lois Jean (nee Rieger)

Age 87 of Fairfield Township went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 30, 2024, surrounded by family.  She was born October 14, 1936, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Louis and June (Seaver) Rieger.  On January 2, 1960, she married William H. Margrave IV in Cincinnati.  Lois was a servant of God, her family and her students.

Lois is survived by her loving husband, William IV; children, William H. (Kelly) Margrave V, Phillip B. (Kimberly) Margrave, Jennifer J. Damaska; grandchildren, Sara K. (Katie) Margrave, Jamie A. Muenchen William H. Margrave VI, Alexa M. Damaska, Maxwell D. Damaska, Mason D. Damaska, Bailey M. Margrave, Benjamin B. Margrave; Great-grandchildren, William H. Margrave VII, Maxine Mary Ann Margrave, Domino Lois Margrave, Maggie Jean Muenchen, Molly June Muenchen, Walter William Muenchen; and many other family, close friends, and former students.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two newborn sons.

On Earth, our hearts are shattered as our Angel has entered Heaven through the pearly gates. Lois’s legacy is one of beauty, love, patience, and grace. Her 64 years of marriage serve as a testament to her devotion and commitment to her husband. As a mother, she raised her children with love and care, instilling in them the values that have shaped them into the individuals they are today. She extended her love and guidance to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving a lasting impact on multiple generations. Lois’s kindness and generosity were not confined to her immediate family. She was a friend to all, always ready to lend a listening ear, offer words of encouragement, and provide support in times of need. Her warm and caring nature touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible impression on everyone she encountered. While her physical presence may be gone, Lois’s spirit will live on through the memories and hearts of those she touched. The love and goodness she embodied will continue to inspire and guide those who were blessed enough to know this amazingly beautiful lady. Family and Friends,

Our entire family would like to Thank You for all the Love, Support, Positive Thoughts and Prayers for our matriarch, Lois Margrave. This is just the tip of the iceberg in how she touches other people’s lives. Over the years… MANY YEARS …. she not only had a hand in shaping the future of her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, but also Many, Many students, nieces, nephews, and the lives of everyone she met. She truly is the epitome of Love, Grace, Generosity, Patience, and Beauty. She will forever be missed, but always in our heart.
