HAS OCCURRED
Lonny Ray Charles, age 64, passed away on March 28, 2023.
Lonny was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the fourth of seven children born to John Allen and Loretta Charles (nee Neeley).
Lonny is survived by his son Christopher Michael Charles, and two siblings: Debra Ann Pilot of Cincinnati and Robert Allen Charles (Joan) of Green Ohio. He also enjoyed many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by four other siblings: Darlene Kay Charles, Dwayne Charles, Carl Michael Charles, and Lucinda Jean Charles.
Lonny was beloved by his family and possessed of a kind and lovable personality. His interests included hunting and fishing; sports which he enjoyed with his father, maternal grandfather, and also his other three brothers. He was employed by Sohio and then BP as a service station clerk and assistant manager for many years. An avid reader of science fiction, he amassed a substantial personal collection of owned books, and he was a lover of all animals, particularly dogs. Lonny was possessed of an overall amiable and affectionate personality and spent much time with his sister Debra Ann and her family, as well their later children. His memory will remain treasured by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel. (2145 Compton Road-follow the red line once on cemetery grounds). Services for Lonny Ray Charles will begin at 1:30PM with burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens in the Garden of the Trinity.
