Obituary via Neidhard Young Funeral Home

Michael George Green, age 77, passed away on August 8, 2026. He was born on November 21, 1948, to the late Kenneth Green and Shirley (Hebel) Green.

Michael was the devoted husband of Sharon (Rosenberger) Green and the loving father of Chris (Leslie) Green and Jeff (Brittany) Green. He was the proud and loving grandfather of Cora, Clark, and Evelyn Green.

He was the beloved brother of Daniel (Kathy) Green, Kevin (Kim) Green, and Gayle Green, and a beloved nephew of Joan Hebel and her late husband, Jerry. Michael also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Michael graduated from Xavier University, where he earned his master’s degree in business. His education, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit ultimately led him to establish his own company, Hadronics, in 1992. He took great pride in the company he built and the work he accomplished throughout his career. Among his greatest sources of pride was the opportunity to work alongside his sons, and ultimately entrust the company he built—and the legacy that came with it—to his son Chris.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army, entering active duty on January 22, 1971. He served as a member of the Military Police Corps and attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5), serving honorably until his release from active duty on January 19, 1973.

Outside of his career and service to his country, Michael enjoyed fishing and carpentry and was always happy to take on a project, including building his own deck. He was an avid University of Cincinnati football fan and enjoyed cheering on the Bearcats. Above all else, Michael loved spending time with his family. Some of his greatest joys came from watching his children and grandchildren participate in their sporting events and simply being present for the special moments in their lives.

Michael will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and the many memories he created with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 8:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:00 AM at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Following the funeral service, Michael will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens, where a graveside service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael’s name to the American Cancer Society or to Queen City Hospice.
