Mildred Edna Curry was born on November 17, 1940 to Mary (nee Flynn) and Charles Curry in Battle Creek, Michigan. She’s the beloved mother of Carolyn Nicholson, Lisa Rothert, Adam (Karen) Murphy, Aaron (Tina) Murphy and Alan (Yolanda) Murphy; cherished grandmother of Emily (Alex) Cain, Elizabeth Nicholson, Chris (Becky) Rothert, Jessica (Derek) Epure, Andy (Kaity) Rothert, Brian Rothert, Samantha (David) Draper, Terry Murphy, Dan (Annalise) Murphy, Molly Murphy, Tim (Holly) Sharpshair, Shawn (Anna Braam) Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Nicholas Murphy and Katelyn Murphy; treasured great-grandmother of Harper Rothert, Colton Rothert, Bryson Epure, Marissa Epure, Grayson Draper, Elly Draper, Kaylee Sharpshair, Kaleb Sharpshair, Duncan Sharpshair, Lola-Anne Sharpshair, Ciaran Murphy-Braam, Noah Watkins, Eli Byrd, Jaycee Byrd, Kinsleigh Byrd and Paisleigh Byrd; dear sister of Martha (the late Jim) Kautz; and loving step-grandmother to Kelly Burr and her children Preston and Cale. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Terrence Murphy, her parents, her second husband James Meyman, and ten siblings. 

Mildred enjoyed many hobbies over her lifetime; reading, music, horses, decorating, cooking and gardening to name a few. She loved her family with all her heart and had numerous friends that became family. Her faith in God led her through many challenges in life. We will never be able to watch a Clint Eastwood western, or just about any western movie/show, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, or Citizen Caine without thinking of her.

A visitation for Mildred will be held at Corpus Christi Church (Springdale Rd.) on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 8 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am. 

Mildred had a giving heart and chose a charity each year to give to. Her chosen charity for this year was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In her memory, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s in Mildred’s name.
