Obituary via Paul Young Funeral Home
Nancy was born in Whitley County, Kentucky to Hannah (nee Lively) and William Brown on October 4, 1926. She was one of thirteen children and family life was always very important to her.
Known as “Granny” or “Granny Baby” to all, even to the staff at the nursing home, Granny liked to laugh and have a good time. She was a loving jokester who most enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids. She liked to do crossword puzzles, quilt, craft, and play cards and other games – and she definitely liked to win. Granny often had a song on her heart that she would share with a nearby family member. Singing out, “Hey, Good Lookin'” or sharing her love with “A Bushel and a Peck.”
She is the beloved mother of Jim (DD) Ramsey, Bill (Stephanie) Ramsey, Sheila Crider, Debbie (Cliff) Sellars and Kenny Ramsey; dear sister of Ova, Mary, Harold, Jerry and Brenda; loving grandmother of 14, great grandmother of 31, and great-great grandmother of 16. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Shelley as well as many brothers and sisters, with whom she is now reunited.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 in Mt. Healthy at Paul R. Young Funeral Home from 10 am until time of funeral service at 12 pm. Flowers are welcome or donations can be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio or the charity of your choice.
Loveyabye, Granny Baby.
