Mooresville, Indiana – Norma Sue Angel, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on February 27, 2023. Norma was born to Roman and Emma (Morgan) Jones in Pennington Gap, Virginia, on December 28, 1940. She was 82 years old.

Norma married the love of her life, Bernard Angel, on May 24, 1969. They remained together for 23 years until Bernard’s passing in 1992.

Norma worked at the Jim Beam National Distillery for over twenty-five years. Norma was also a longtime member of Full Gospel Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and a passionate Reds fan.

Norma spent her time away from work gardening and attending to her flowers. However, her true joy was cooking for her family and friends. Norma’s cooking was her expression of love for her family and for God. No one ever went hungry in Norma’s house, which was immaculate.

In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband Bernard Angel; brothers Luke Jones, Lonnie Jones, Jimmy Jones; sisters Ethel Moore, Eva Hammett, and Phyllis Turner; and grandson Jeremy Flaker.

She is survived by her son Ric Flaker (Sherry); her daughters, Pamela Koch (Bob), Kimberly Kriese (Brandon); brother Bill Jones; sisters Oma Ruth Lipps and Margie Hubbard (Jim), grandchildren Jeffrey Flaker, Morgan Kirgiss (Steven), Krystle DeWalt (Sean), Ashley Sillies (Austin), Kaylee Kriese, Brandon Kriese Jr., and Sarah Kriese; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends and Family will gather for Norma’s Life Celebration visitation on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 11 am – 1 pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Services in Mooresville, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Guy Lancour presiding. Burial will take place Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio at 1 pm.
