Norman C. Hare

Norman C. Hare, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, left us peacefully on September 12, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on November 19, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Marjorie and Norbert Hare, Norman lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to family and country.

A proud Infantry Sergeant, Norman served his country with honor, and after his military service, he built a remarkable career at Procter & Gamble, where he dedicated over 30 years to the operations of Duncan Hines cake mix and Crisco oil manufacturing. He brought the same passion and commitment to his family, raising three daughters, Teresa (Mike), Sheree (James), and Carrie (Eli), alongside his loving wife of over 50 years, Jeanetta “Gail,” who preceded him in death. Norman’s spirit of loyalty, caring, and humor left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Norman is also remembered by his eight cherished grandchildren—Diane, Nick, Racquel, Michael, Amanda, Jordan, Mathew, Alex, Noam, Raquel, Amir, Julia, and Zach—and his great-grandchildren, Leah, Abby, Kai, Cody, Liv, Eden, Ruby, Bailey, Chase, Nikki, Jacob, Ava, Easton, Lane, and Palmer. His family was the center of his universe, and his warmth and kindness will resonate in their hearts forever.

In his later years, Norman enjoyed relaxing in Boca Raton, Florida, where he could often be found on the golf course or bowling alley, sharing good times with friends and family. A slice of cake (Duncan Hines, of course) and a scoop of ice cream were his favorite indulgences, often accompanied by laughter and perhaps a friendly wager.

We invite all who knew and loved Norman to celebrate his life with us. The visitation will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m., at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, 45231.

Norman’s final resting place will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens, with a cryptside service scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest amidst the beauty of the gardens he loved.

As we bid farewell to a remarkable man who touched countless lives, let us remember the joy he brought, the stories he shared, and the love he gave so freely. In his honor, let us hold our loved ones a little closer and cherish every moment, just as he would have wanted.
