A DEATH
HAS OCCURRED
Patricia “Pati” Germany, 70, passed away on Thursday October 30, 2025. She was born April 15, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Lois (Shelton) Henderson.
There will never be another like our mom. Sadly, she left us this week after fighting her health setbacks of the past year.
She lived a life that wasn’t always easy, but she made it full of laughter, family, and love. When we were kids, she made pallets on the living room floor and we all slept together. She wasn’t always super physically affectionate or showy but she knew how to create comfort just with her presence.
If she had some down time, you might find her at the casino — specifically the penny slots — and somehow she’d walk out a winner every time! She always wanted you to win too. And if you weren’t, from my personal experience, she’d slide a $20 in your machine so you could keep playing and feel like a winner.
She loved her family, her grandkids, and all of our friends and partners like they were her own. She never blinked at the chaos! 15 kids in the pool, in the living room playing games, babies asleep everywhere — she just fed all of us and laughed right with us. Our antics never phased her.
Her best friend was her “sista”, Carol. They talked 24/7 and honestly couldn’t live without each other. They fed off each other’s humor, fought like sisters should, and were each other’s constant companion through everything. They planned game and card nights like it was a full production — made all the snacks, talked trash, and absolutely thrived on the laughter.
She met the love of her life, Tim, 35 years ago. In their early days they would stay up all night playing Dr. Mario and skip work the next morning. That playful spark never left. She shared us kids with Tim. Which wasn’t easy for her to do. She knew though that he would love all of us unconditionally and that we’d finally become a true family. That love grew to what it is today. Adding people into it along the way.
In the last chapters of her life, she found her faith again and was blessed with a loving church family at Berachah Church. With her renewed spirit, she was baptized again this year with all of us there. She was proud. She was present. She was loved. She left this world better than she found it.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Germany; two daughters, Katie (Dan Eichstadt) Germany and Sarah (Adam) King; son William “Bill” Koepke; grandchildren Anna, Lucas, Brooklyn, Marley, Izzy, Reese, Asher, Avery, Delaney, Danya, Willa and Parker; brother Charles “Chip” (Terry) Brunner, sister Carol “Sista” Gibbons, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Nicolaas Rhonda Germany Ballintyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Marty Burke.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 8 – 10 AM Saturday November 8, 2025 in the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, where funeral services will follow at 10 AM with Pastor Lamar Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
