Obituary for Peggy Lee Pitzer
Peggy Lee Pitzer, a beloved wife, mother, and business owner, passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on July 22, 1943, in Tiffin, Ohio, Peggy’s journey through life was marked by her entrepreneurial spirit and her deep love for family, friends, and her community.
Peggy established herself as a successful business owner alongside her husband, Lynn Pitzer, with whom she owned and operated Peg’s Pub in Cincinnati, Ohio. The restaurant became a cherished gathering place that reflected her warmth and hospitality, and it was here that Peggy created countless joyful memories with patrons who became like family.
Her spirit of adventure was evident in her love for gambling and frequent trips to the casino, where she relished the thrill of the game. An avid golfer, Peggy found joy in the sport, spending many sunny days on the course with friends and loved ones. Her achievements were recognized when she became a Kentucky Colonel, an honor that reflected her commitment to her community and to those around her.
Peggy is survived by her devoted husband, Lynn Pitzer, and their three loving daughters, Penny Riddle, Kathleen Curington, and Kristine Franklin, son-in-law, Pat Riddle, 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Each of their lives was enriched by Peggy’s unwavering love and support. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Flora Little.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st, 2025 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2155 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the BLUE Line). A Celebration of Life will follow at the 513 Sports Cafe, 11525 Chester Road, Cincinnati, OH 45246.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Queen City Hospice at https://queencityhospice.com/donate/, reflecting Peggy’s generous spirit and dedication to her community.
Peggy Lee Pitzer’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched, reminding us all to embrace life with love, laughter, and an adventurous spirit.
