Ralph “Hot Dog” West, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026.

Born to the late Prince West and Versie Vaught, Ralph was the beloved husband of Shirley (née Krebs) West. He was the loving father of Adam (Holly) West and devoted stepfather of Amy (John) Gardner and Adam (Crystal) Eilers. He was the cherished Grandpa of Carly, Riley, and Drew West, and the proud step-grandpa of Brayden and Carey Gardner, and Elliot and Reid Eilers.

Ralph was the dear brother of Don West, Ray West, and the late Vernon West and Joyce McCluskey. He is also survived by his former wife, Lyn (Jon) White, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Ralph began his career at the Ohio Knife Company before transitioning into a sales role with E.A. Kinsey, and later Snap-on Tools. He eventually followed his entrepreneurial spirit, founding Industrial Lighting & Supply, where he built a successful business through hard work, integrity, and a natural ability to connect with people.

An avid golfer, Ralph loved spending time on the course, where he was just as likely to make a new friend as he was to make a great shot. He never met a stranger, and his warm smile, quick wit, and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Ralph will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 10385 New Haven Rd, Harrison, Ohio 45030, where the Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, July 8th at 12:00 pm.

Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of his wife, Shirley West.
